The Canary Islands is for many a dream destination but also a dreaded place when it comes to choosing the right accommodation for you and your family. Las Palmas is the picturesque island, a couple of miles west of the Canary Islands just opposite Morocco. Located on the outskirts of Teguise, on the northern part of Las Palmas, the Apartments Club Siroco is set next to the beach – an ideal location for the whole familiy – with excellent sea-views. It might be an economical 3* resort, however the guys there finally got it right.

Although the resort went through a dark era of bad reviews regarding poor service, now it is totally transformed. Facilities include two swimming pools, two pool bars and an a la carte restaurant while all apartments are equipped with modern furnishings including telephone, bathroom and television. The two options, self-catering or all-inclusive, give you great flexibility when it comes to choosing the right package for the perfect family holidays. The food may not be the most sophisticated, 7* presented, ultra-gourmet experience you ever had, but it is definitely fresh, tasty and diversified everyday. After all, it is highly unlikely you will convince your moody 12-year-old to try something unrecognizable with a complicated French name you can hardly pronounce correctly.

The facilities at Apartments Club Siroco do offer in general pretty much everything you would expect from a respectable 3* resort and even more when going for the all-inclusive option. The self-catering rooms are well-equipped with new kitchen devices including a microwave, toaster and kettle which will prove very handy for late night munches.

If you are the daredevil, cold-defying type the sea is crystal clear and the non-heated swimming pool big and empty of people, so privacy is granted. If you are normal though, and prefer to maintain your pale skin colour after a swim instead of a Smurf-looking blue the first two option will give you, the heated swimming pool is again spacious and clean.

Overall, Apartments Club Siroco is of great value for many reasons and a well-rounded option for a great family holiday in the Canary Islands.
