Cheap attractions in Pisa

When you hear the word Pisa, the first thing that probably would come to mind is the leaning tower of Pisa. It’s a world famous tower because it leans a bit on its side but don’t think that Pisa only has this to offer to their guests.

If you come to Pisa only to see the Leaning Tower for yourself and it’s the only thing you wish to see then you’ll be missing out on a lot of things that Pisa has in store. In fact, when you get to visit the Leaning Tower of Pisa you’ll notice that there are 2 magnificent buildings just beside it. There’s the magnificent Duomo and the Baptistery which are just walking distance from the Leaning Tower.

One thing you would notice when you are in Pisa is that their University plays a big role to their society. Why? Because 60% of their population are studying in the University of Pisa. Yes, that’s 60,000 out of 100,000 inhabitants are studying in that university. There’s no other city or university that could beat that.

There are lots of great buildings in Pisa that have been well-preserved after hundreds of years. Make sure to go to the Piazza dei Miracoli when you’re in Pisa as there you will find the Leaning Tower. At Piazza dei Cavalieri you’ll find several historical buildings with rich history that dates back to the Renaissance period. Here you will find the St. Matthew Museum which houses the biggest collection of Tuscan Renaissance Art. The entrance fee to the museum will cost you eur 8.

There’s just so much history in Pisa that is well-preserved and they all deserve the same recognition as the Leaning Tower have.

  1. Italy is very beautiful. I have been to Pisa last year. It is a place worth seeing.
    All the tourists were being photographed pushing the tower, probably that was fashionable (as well as holding the sun in the photographs taken at sunset if you happen to be by the sea).

    The Leaning Tower really is a sensation surrounded by green grass and displaying intricate architecture.

    Tourists have also the opportunity to take a tour of Pisa in small carriages if they want to discover more of this place. Not far from Pisa there is the sea and some famous seaside resorts: Viareggio, Marina di Massa and other Marinas.

    Don’t forget to take your time and enjoy a glass of wine and a delicious Italian dish.
