You never thought that “free” can sit next to “Las Vegas” in the same sentence. It sounds odd, but actually you can save money in Las Vegas, apart from winning or losing them. Travelling Cheap goes against the trend and will tell you how to save money in Las Vegas, not how to spend them. Check out these tips:
Visit the big open-air market which is open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The entrance fee is 50 cents but the offer is impressive: more than 1,100 vendors waiting for you to discover them and buy their merchandise. The slogan of Broadacres Swap Meet is “If you’re looking for it, we’ve probably got it”.
The merchandise is varied. You fill find everything from toys and collectibles to pots, pans and furniture or carpets. You can spend your whole day in the market and enjoying your pizza lunch or the fresh fruit on sale.
For a view of Las Vegas Strip head to Mandalay Bay Hotel and go to floor 64. The lounge will offer you a beautiful panorama and the entrance is free before 10 PM. After 10 PM it will cost you around $20-$25 to get into the lounge but once you are in there you can stay and party because there are DJs, drinks and cosy sofas to enjoy.
Don’t leave the Mandalay Bay hotel because it offer you more free things: weekly blues concerts with House of Blues. Usually they start at 9PM and last until midnight.
These were the first tips for free things to do while in Vegas. In the following weeks, Travelling Cheap will offer you more advice and tips about saving money in a place where spending them means a lot.
