Monastir is getting more and more popular over the years! If you have ever been to Tunisia before and stayed in Sousse or Hammamet, for sure you have arrived at the airport of Monastir which is in Skanes.

In Sidi Ghedemsi you can find the Sidi Ghedemsi tomb that dates way back in the past. The island itself can feel a bit eerie because of the mystery it hides. A lot of abandoned items and buildings can be seen here and they are great for picture taking.

The Monastir island itself is quite nice and  peaceful enough compared to busy cities. Go and walk at the side of the beach and just enjoy the view and the breeze. You’ll also find the Bab Briqcha which dates back to the 17th century. The mosque inside is no longer the original mosque though.
