Honduras is undoubtedly one of the best places for tropic destinations in Southern America. Saving on food is a little bit tricky. Local food in Honduras is very tasty and will never cost you more than a dollar or two for a complete meal. But you have to be careful since they might not be cooked well. For safety purposes, stay away from uncooked food. Water is also expensive in Honduras so buy in large containers so that you don’t have to spend a dollar or two for every small bottle.

But above all, always be safe. Stories about tourists being robbed could often be read online but that’s only for those who travel at night or go walk alone in unknown places. Just stay in safe areas in the city or in your beach resort so that you don’t have to experience the horror and only experience fun under the sun.
