San Francisco is one of the most popular cities in the world but could also become a very expensive destination if you are not aware of the affordable travel ideas in the city.
Accommodation
An affordable accommodation in San Francisco is very important if you want to save while spending time here. Like most of the popular cities in the country, youth hostels are highly recommended if you’re travelling alone (prices start from EUR 11). There are a good number of hostels downtown San Francisco which is great since it’s near to most tourist sites in the city.
Walking Tour
A walking tour in San Francisco is highly recommended if the sun is up. Don’t miss the Chinatown as this will provide you good view of the remarkable structures within the district. Walk a little bit further and you’ll be bumping into the Golden Gate Bridge in no time.
A good alternative to a walking tour of San Francisco is to rent a bike. This will give a good access to different parts of the city. You can even cross the Golden Gate Bridge and see more what San Francisco has to offer.
Food
Another reason why you want to find yourself in Chinatown is the food. If you’re craving for Asian delicacies, this district in the city will never disappoint when it comes to prices as well as taste. Also, don’t be afraid to try out different meals on wheels. They will not place a hole in your pocket but still tasty. Just be aware that most of these meals are high in calories so if you’re a health buff, you may have to look somewhere else…or you can just shed the calories through biking.
