One of the most loved and talked about travel locations in the world is Tokyo. People from all over the world love to come to this area for many different reasons. Whether you are looking to soak up some great culture or you are looking to see some of the latest technology in the world, Tokyo is the place to be. However, there are some travel tips you should keep in mind when going to this amazing city.
First of all, budget travellers should note that travelling around Tokyo can cost a lot of money. If you are planning to take cabs everywhere, then you can kiss all of your money goodbye! Your best bet, as a budget traveller, is to either take the subway or walk. The good news is that most places in Tokyo can be reached by simply walking. If you are in a hurry to get somewhere, then you can take the subway. The subway can connect you to any point in Tokyo that you want to go. It does all of that at a very low cost.
The next thing to note is that getting help can sometimes be hard in Tokyo. This is not because people are not nice (because they are very friendly in Tokyo), but for the simple fact that not everyone will be able to speak English well. Students and youngsters are your best bet. Most of them are required to take classes to learn English. Chances are, they will not be able to speak English fluently, but you will have a better chance at getting help from them. When talking to people, be sure to speak very clearly and very slowly. You will find that most people are very helpful to foreigners despite this language barrier.
