Cheap scuba diving in Madeira

Madeira Island is located in Portugal but not too many people know exactly where they could find it. In fact, it is just on the west coast of Morocco. It’s a small island on the Atlantic Ocean.

People expect Madeira Island to have beautiful beaches since, after all, it is called an island but many are surprised that in fact, there aren’t any beaches at all. This is because it’s actually the summit of a mountain undersea which is why you won’t see any sandy beaches but you’ll find craggy cliffs instead.

Many prefer to have their vacation here because of its deep blue water. It has the highest ocean cliff too of 589 meters. It’s really not the usual island you would most probably have imagined. If you dream of a deserted island with rich resources, then this would be the closest thing you’ll find. But Madeira Island is good for diving. The diving cost starts from eur 30 and the price include the cylinder weight belt and diving boat but you must have your own equipment. If you don’t, an extra fee will be charged for the full equipment which will raise the total price per diving to eur 42.

Madeira Island is pretty small for an island with only 13 miles wide and 35 miles long. It may be small but it is rich in its forested soil. It’s a little paradise that not too many people have already experienced.

Going to Madeira is only through air transportation. You must first go to Lisbon to be transported from airport to the island. There are cruise ships that also go to Madeira Island but this is only occasional. There are no ferry boats that transport passengers to Madeira so you really need to go to Lisbon first.
