Before every Halloween, a lot of people get more curious about scary places, demons and events are taking place around the world for the enthusiastic ghost hunter wannabes. There is something about being scared that gives people a sense of euphoria. For this reason, many visitors flock haunted houses and other scary places around the world. Here are three of the scariest destinations in the world:

The Tower of London may be one of the scariest place on Earth. Here, many claimed to have heard rattling chains and have seen several apparitions. This is probably because this tower had been used as a prison and execution site several hundred years ago. Many people died here and their souls are believed to have remained here as well.

The Stanley Hotel is the inspiration for the movie “The Shining”. It’s been around for 100 years and there are many witnesses who have seen the ghost of Flora Stanley as she plays the piano and watches over the hotel. The fourth floor is also very noisy at night.

The South Bridge of Edinburgh is another scary place. After the bridge was built because of an existing agreement which stated that the oldest resident of the bridges had to cross the bridge, the first person to cross the South bridge was in a coffin. It was the oldest resident who had died a few days before the opening of the bridge for public access. This made people believe that the bridge was cursed and citizens were avoiding crossing the bridge. Ghosts have been spotted in the vaults of the bridge after opening them for tourists and the stories are quite frightening.
